  Islamic knowledge and scientific reason of beard             All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon whom Allah sent as a mercy to the Worlds, upon his Family, his Companions and his Brothers till the Day of Resurrection. Know that in principle, letting grow the beard is obligatory according to the majority of the scholars of the jurisprudential Schools, and among them those of the four Schools and others. Ibn Hazm has even reported that there is Ijmâ` (a scholarly consensus) as regards this issue( 1 ).The reference of the Ijmâ` is the Prophet’s  صلَّى الله عليه وسلَّم  hadith: “Trim closely the moustaches and let the beards grow, oppose the Magians”( 2 ) and his saying  صلَّى الله عليه وسلَّم : “Do the opposite of what the polytheists do. داڑھی کی اسلام اور سائنس کی منطق تمام تعریفیں اللہ رب العالمین کے لئے ہیں۔ سلامتی اور رحمت ہے جن کو اللہ نے قیامت تک اپنے اہل خانہ ، اس کے ساتھیوں اور اس کے بھائیوں پر عالمین کے لئے رحمت بنا کر بھیجا۔ جانتے ہو کہ اصولی طور پر ، فقہی اسکولوں کے اکثریتی اسکالروں ، اور ان میں چاروں اسکولوں اور دیگر مکاتب فکر کے مطابق داڑھی بڑھانا واجب ہے۔ ابن حزم نے یہاں تک بتایا ہے کہ اس مسئلے کے سلسلے میں اجم 1` ( علمی اجماع) ہے۔ اجماع کا حوالہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا فرمان ہے کہ اللہ سیدھے اللہ علیہ وسلَّم حدیث میں ہے: "مونچھوں کو قریب سے صاف کرو اور داڑھی بڑھنے دو ، جادوگروں کی مخالفت کرو" (2) اور اس کے صلّی الله علیه وسلَّم کا فرمان: "مشرکین کے برعکس کیا کرو۔ . پوری داڑھی رکھیں اور مونچھیں مختصر کردیں "(3) اور ایک اور روایت میں ہے کہ:" مونچھوں کو کاٹ کر داڑھی رکھیں "(4)۔ داڑھی بڑھنے چھوڑنے اور اس کو مونڈنے سے منع کرنے سے متعلق کچھ دلائل ہیں ، کیونکہ یہ نبی صلّی اللہ علیه وسلَّم کے حکم کے منافی ہے۔ مزید یہ کہ ، اللہ عزّ وجلَّ یہ کہتے ہوئے نبی صلّی اللہ علیه و...
